THE MACRO PRISM SERIES

With a set of holographic reflecting tubes in long and short versions inspired me to work on a reflection and refractionseries of water drops on reflecting background.

A macro-setup of 10 x 10 cm was enough to get this series into a productive workflow. Armed with a water-atomizer, a single torch and the 10 cm long mini-holo-tubes, this experimental set creates instant results with a colorful output. This series is work in progress and will soon be adapted to a wider range of 3D structures and fluids.
In terms of light painting settings the exposure is set very short, ranging from 1 up to 2.5 seconds and the difficulty is to only catch the ground and not the tube itself.
